Lynn How is a friendly, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) consultant, author, and SENCO with over 24 years of experience in education. She specialises in inclusion, staff wellbeing, and SEND support in schools, working with teachers, leaders, and parents to create environments where every child can thrive.
Lynn’s work spans consultancy, coaching, public speaking, and writing for educational publications. She has published with Bloomsbury, Jessica Kingsley, and Hinton House, and is the author of the children’s book Your Rainbow. She also runs Positive Young Minds, a hub for resources and training for SENCOs and educators, and is active in The Sweary Teacher and Sweary SENCo communities (links below).
Passionate about empowering others, Lynn recently coined the term comprathy and to comprathise to fill a gap in our emotional vocabulary, giving people the language to support others authentically when empathy and sympathy alone aren’t enough.
